A meeting was convened at Mumbai on 30th Nov 2023, chaired by Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Dy Chief Minister, Govt. of Maharashtra to discuss various renewable initiatives of NTPC. This was attended by Dr. Bhagwat Karad, Hon’ble Union MoS (Finance), Shri Mohit Bhargava, CEO (NGEL),Shri Prem Parkash, RED(WR-I),  along with senior officials of Govt. of Maharashtra and​ NTPC.

Different Renewable projects like Floating Solar, Pumped Storage, Waste to Energy and Green Ammonia were discussed to be implemented in Maharashtra as a part of green growth strategy.

It was agreed that the NGEL shall enter into an MoU with Govt. of Maharashtra to collaborate for development of various Renewable projects in Maharashtra.
